Here in Minnesota we can move closer to true multicultural democracy by taking action in 2023. SCVI has chosen this effort as one of our key strategies for the year.
The immediate work for SCVI members and supporters will be to push for legislative changes at the state capitol. There are efforts afoot to pass bills on automatic voter registration, pre-registration for 16 and 17 year olds, establishing true early voting, limiting the influence of dark money in our elections, and more. SCVI will work with a coalition of progressive organizations known as We Choose Us.
